# Slack Alerts

> Get Enrow alerts — low credits, declined API calls, automatic refills — in a Slack channel of your choice

## Overview

The Slack integration posts Enrow's account alerts in **one channel** of your Slack workspace, next to (or instead of) the alert emails:

* **Low credit balance** — when your balance drops below the threshold you set in Billing → Settings
* **API calls declined** — when your API requests fail because you ran out of credits or your subscription is paused
* **Automatic refills** — when a fast renewal or an auto top-up added credits to your balance

Enrow can post in the channel you pick and nowhere else, and reads nothing from your workspace.

## Setup

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Slack integration in Enrow">
    In the [Enrow Dashboard](https://app.enrow.io), go to **Integrations** in the left menu, filter on **Alerts**, and open **Slack**.

    <Info>
      On a team account, only **team admins** connect Slack — the channel then receives the alerts of the whole team's shared balance.
    </Info>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Add to Slack">
    Slack asks you which channel Enrow may post in. Pick one and confirm — nothing else changes in your workspace. Enrow immediately posts an *"Enrow is connected"* message in the channel so you can see it works.

    <Tip>
      If your workspace blocks third-party apps, use **Use a webhook URL instead**: in Slack, open **Apps → Incoming Webhooks**, create a webhook for the channel you want, and paste its URL into Enrow. Enrow posts the test message before saving it.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose where alerts go">
    Once connected, a **Where alerts go** section appears on the same page:

    * **Email and Slack** (default) — the alert email as before, plus a post in the channel
    * **Slack only** — no alert email
    * **Email only** — Slack stays connected but receives nothing

    The choice applies to the low-credit alert and the declined-API-calls alert. Automatic refills have no email: they are posted to Slack whenever Slack is one of your destinations, and nowhere if you chose *Email only*.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Good to know

* **Email is the fallback.** If you chose *Slack only* and Slack refuses a post — the app was removed, the channel was deleted — the alert email is sent anyway. An alert about an empty balance never disappears silently.
* **Where the setting shows up.** Your current choice is mirrored in **Profile → Communication** and under the credit alert in **Billing → Settings**, each with a link back to the Slack page.
* **In-app notifications are unchanged.** The bell in the dashboard keeps showing every alert whatever you choose here.
* **Disconnecting** removes the webhook and your destination choice from Enrow. Alerts go back to email only. You can connect again at any time — the destination starts back at *Email and Slack*.

## Message reference

Every message names the alert, states the fact (balance and threshold, number of declined requests, credits added) and links to the relevant Enrow page. Messages are posted in the language of the account holder (English or French).
